Forecast Public Art will renew its occasional series of Spontaneous Storefronts in St. Paul beginning in August, this time featuring rear-screen digital projections in vacant windows facing downtown and Lowertown streets. Steve Dietz, of Northern Lights, will curate local and national artists addressing themes of democracy and participation. This project, which runs through October, will present a vibrant selection of accessible, yet provocative and whimsical videos, animations and digital art to passersby, a new media showcase linked to The UnConvention.
